November 4, 1958 - April 29, 2024
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of David Brian McCarl. He was predeceased by his parents John and Dorothy McCarl and his 4 older brothers. Left to mourn are sisters Dianne (Paul) Rivers and Catherine (Shaun) Mahoney. Loving Uncle (Spunkle!) of Jennifer, Janice, Lynn, Jason, Denise, Shawna and Jonathan. Devoted Great Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Special and dear friend to all.
He was a long-time employee of the Simcoe County District School Board as an EA as well as very active in the OPSEU Union.
David had an amazing sense of humour and enjoyed playing pranks on others. Family asks that he be remembered for the joy he brought to others’ lives, and not the sadness of his passing.
The cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to join in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 15th from 1-4 pm at the Great Northern Exhibition on Fairgrounds Road.
In memory of David a donation can be made to Collingwood and Area Special Olympics, or David loved going out for breakfast, please take someone out for breakfast and enjoy a meal and memories.
