I'm Barnaby!
I'm a sweet and cute as can be little 2-year-old kitty here at GTHS looking to find a special place to call home. I arrived here at the Animal Center back at the beginning of March after being found outside all alone with no one to care for me (and in rough shape, if I'm being honest). Thankfully, the nice person who found me knew that if they brought me to GTHS, I'd get the care I needed and I would find a purrfect home when I was ready! Well, I've been ready for a few months now, but my new family hasn't come for me yet. The humans here at GTHS think I'm a very special boy, and they just can't understand why I haven't gone to my new home yet!
For the time being, the GTHS humans are referring to me as a "Spirit Cat" as this means I'm a little undersocialized when it comes to new people and new places. I'm looking to find a bit of a specific home to be a happy, stress-free guy. Slow and steady will be the best approach while we're getting to know each other. It will be important for my new family to understand that I might need a little extra patience and time to settle in.
One thing I do love though is being brushed! Maybe some nice gentle and loving brushings together will be a great way to bond! If you are okay to go slow and give me the time I need, I promise you'll be rewarded by seeing my sweet and loving side start to shine! I really am a wonderful boy! If I could ask one thing though, maybe humans 14 years and older for me, please (young kids are just a bit too scary).
I guess you are also wondering about me being Special Paws. Don't worry, it's only because I am on a special vet line food to help with these itchy scratchy things the humans call allergies. It will be important that my new family keeps me on this diet so I can be a happy, healthy boy!
My Special Paws adoption fee is only $25 and includes my neuter, trip to the dentist, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and microchip.
I can't wait for my purrfect person to find me soon!
