Gus
Hello humans, I am Gus. A bit of a confusing name for a lady cat, I know, but I've always had this name and the GTHS humans were affectionately referring to me as "Grumpy Gus" when I first arrived (but don't worry, I'm not truly that grumpy hehe) so, that's me!
Anyways, I'm a truly beautiful little two-year-old girl and am a very lovely size at only about 8lbs.
I arrived at the GTHS some time ago when things changed for my humans and they could no longer care for me. But then, surprise! Upon arrival, the GTHS humans noticed I had a bit of a big belly... yep, turns out I had three little babies hiding in there.
So, off to a loving, cozy foster home I went where I could relax, settle in and give birth to my babies knowing that I was in a safe place. And let me tell you... was motherhood ever a wild ride!
I was a great mom but was also very happy to have the help from my human foster mom. Although I loved my babies, I'll admit that I was pretty happy to be finished with mom duty once they were big enough that they didn't need me anymore.
Anyways, now I'm all set and ready to find a family of my very own.
I'm sort of looking for a bit of a particular home too. I'd prefer it if I could be your one and only pet, please. I have lived with cats and dogs before but was really quite fearful and unsure about them, so if I could be your one and only fur baby, I sure would like that a lot! I also prefer a nice calm and quiet home with only adults if I could.
I'm that balanced combination of independent and affectionate. I like very much to do my own thing but when I'm in the mood for some attention, I certainly make it very obvious by coming over and rubbing up against your legs or hopping up onto the couch beside you. Sometimes though, I like your company but don't feel like pets and scratches hehe so, I'll sit on the back of the couch or on the floor nearby...
I was with my foster mom for quite some time and she was great with me; very patient with me and allowed me to do everything at my own pace. She says it took quite a while, but after allowing me to settle in at my own pace, eventually I'll seek her out for attention or even jump onto her lap!
So, I guess what I'm saying is that I'm a sweet, beautiful and quirky girl, just looking for the right place to call home and the right humans to call family.
My adoption fee is $125 and includes my spay, up to date vaccinations, de-wormer and a microchip.
I am patiently waiting for you to find me!
Gus xoxo
