On June 21, 2024, our parents, Barbara and David Trafford will be celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary! They have lived in Collingwood since 1986 and through the decades have created an incredible life together. The love birds met in the 70's when they were both employed at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. When Barbara first saw David she thought, "This is the man I’m going to marry!" Thus began their 50+ year love story. Through the years Barbara has taught David how to ski, they have travelled around the world, they ran a bed and breakfast, they have raised three accomplished sons: Stephen (Pamela), Jeffrey (Jessica), and Jean-Paul (Leanne) and now have five happy and healthy grandchildren: Brianna, Charlie, Violet, Bruce and Malia.
Barbara and David spent the majority of their careers as teachers in Simcoe County. Now happily retired, they are active members in many community groups including The Probus Club, The Optimist Club, The Quota Club, The 100 Men Who Care of South Georgian Bay, various book clubs, and within their respective church communities.
Thank you Barbara and David for being exceptional role models to not only us and our children, but everyone you come in contact with. You are fine examples of patience, generosity, wisdom and guidance. We are blessed to be able to call you "Mom and Dad".
