Notice of nest removal at Collingwood Grain Terminals

Starting October 21, 2024, the Town will begin work to remove unoccupied nests from the Collingwood Grain Terminals. 

The work on these nests, previously occupied by Barn Swallows that have since migrated for the season, is in accordance with Federal and Provincial regulations.

Following nest removal, a plastic barrier will be installed to prevent the birds from nesting on the Grain Terminals in the spring. Follow up work in the spring will ensure that Barn Swallows have not nested in the planned areas of construction.
