It's the end of free parking in downtown Collingwood.

Starting Tuesday, August 4, paid parking will be enforced again in all municipal lots and on downtown streets.

When the pandemic began, the town stopped enforcing paid parking in the downtown core.

However, the town announced today it will be resuming its enforcement so if you're in a paid parking lot, you'll have to pay to park.

Parking on Hurontario Street is $1 per hour for a maximum of three hours. You can pay at kiosks located along the street where there is angled parking.

Parking on side streets is $0.75 per hour, and you pay meters at your parking space. Parking in municipal lots is also $0.75 per hour and there are kiosks located around the municipal lots.

Parking is free on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and after 6 p.m. on weekdays. Those with accessible parking permits or veteran licence plates are exempt from paying to park in any municipally operated parking area in town.

Monthly parking passes are available for $52 per month or $520 per year and you can buy them at town hall, which is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
