The Town of Collingwood announced last night all town-owned playgrounds have now been reopened.

The playground equipment is not being sanitized. The town is asking people to continue to practice physical distancing at the parks and not to use playground equipment if you are ill.

The town is also recommending anyone who uses playground equipment to wash their hands afterwards.

Some public washrooms have reopened including the facilities at the transit terminal at Second and Pine Street. The washrooms at Sunset Point will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day and there are portable toilets at the harbour, Millennium Park, the Collingwood Museum, Harbourview Park, Princeton Shores, Watts Skiff, and Sunset Point Park East.

The town is maintaining increased enforcement and parking controls at Sunset Point this weekend. Side street parking restrictions will be in place, and the parking lot by the water treatment plant at the far east end of the park will be for residents only. Proof of residency is required to gain access.

The town will be limiting the number of people who can park at Sunset Point and will be enforcing physical distancing and emergency orders.
