There have been 28 deaths of Simcoe County residents linked to COVID-19, including a Wasaga Beach man in his 70s, whose death was reported on April 6.

If you were waiting for the Canadian Forces Snowbirds to flyover Collingwood last night, you would have been disappointed (and perhaps a little chilled). The jets skipped Collingwood and headed to Barrie before landing.

It was more than 100 years ago when Collingwood residents were first asked to practice physical distancing. In case you missed it, we posted an article yesterday about the impact of Spanish Influenza on Collingwood in 1918.

Today’s essential worker of the day is Helaina Rigney.

CollingwoodToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to [email protected]. Please only send photos and information with permission.
