Kari Payne and Thomas Vincent would like to recognize Billy Vastis and Imad Abou-Chalha, the owners of the Tremont Cafe for their essential work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"On Easter weekend, they donated around 300 meals to the hospital, EMS, Fire, OPP, and to some of their frequent guests who were alone for Easter," said Payne. "They, along with other Collingwood restaurateurs, help keep all of our spirits up ... with takeout and curbside pickup ... we are lucky to have them as an integral part of our community."

CollingwoodToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to [email protected]. Please only send photos and information with permission.
