Public Health Ontario has reported 102 new cases of COVID-19 today, a record low that goes back to March 25 reporting levels, when testing was much lower.
The province noted there have been 23,769 tests processed since yesterday's report, bringing the cumulative testing total to 1.75 million.
There were nine deaths related to the coronavirus confirmed today in Ontario, including one person between the ages of 40 and 59, four people between the ages of 60 and 79, and four people over the age of 80.
Today's new cases are mostly individuals between 20 and 59 (68 people) and almost 50 per cent (49 cases) come from the Toronto Public Health jurisdiction. There have been 34 new cases of COVID-19 reported in health care workers today.
Public Health Ontario has reported a total of 37,052 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 to-date. Of those, 32,920 cases are reported recovered (88.8 per cent) and 2,732 people have died (7.4 per cent).
Based on today's epidemiological report, there are now 1,400 active cases of the coronavirus in Ontario. There are 115 people hospitalized with the virus, including 31 patients in intensive care and 22 patients on ventilators.
Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has reported 616 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region to date, with 585 of those reported in Simcoe County.
Thirty-six people have died and the health unit has reported 559 recoveries. The incidence rate for Simcoe-Muskoka region is 103.6 cases per 100,000 people in the population.
There are 19 active cases of COVID-19 in Simcoe County including three people hospitalized, according to the health unit's July 14 epidemiological report.
Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit will enter Stage 3 of the province's reopening plan on Friday.
