Two TBM residents among eight new Grey Bruce COVID cases

There are currently three active, lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in The Blue Mountains and four in Grey Highlands

The Grey Bruce Health Unit confirmed eight new cases of COVID-19 today, including two in the Blue Mountains, two in Southgate, one in West Grey, one (the first) in Neyaashiinigmiing, one in Meaford, and one in Owen Sound. 

The health unit has reported a total of 491 cases in the region to date, and notes there are 33 active cases in both counties combined. Two people from the region are hospitalized.

Active cases in Grey County are currently located in Owen Sound (4), Southgate (2), Grey Highlands (4), Meaford (2), West Grey (2), The Blue Mountains (3), Hanover (1), and Georgian Bluffs (1). 

The health unit is currently tracking 142 high-risk contacts associated with the current 33 active cases.

Of GBHU’s 491 cumulative cases, 429 cases have recovered and 29 cases were referred to other health units.

Lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Grey County include - Owen Sound (85); Southgate (73); Grey Highlands (57); West Grey (29); Blue Mountains (27); Meaford (22); Hanover (19); Georgian Bluffs (3); Chatsworth (2).
