Diverse experience from commercial finance expert to entrepreneur. Since 1995 John has been fortunate to acquire knowledge from some of Canada's most successful business owners and entrepreneurs through his credit underwriting and financial origination background. This experience has allowed for a transition back to the family business in the building sector, which has always been a passion.
Past experience (starting in 1995 until 2017) began with Textron Financial, acquired by CitiGroup after starting at an entry level position, eventually becoming Vice President managing a USD $300Million real estate and vendor program and also involved in a start-up venture with LiftCapital that was eventually acquired by Toyota. As Vice President Travelers Financial, successfully managed the general aviation division from $0 to being the largest general aviation portfolio in Canada with exclusive manufacture and dealer financing programs.
In June 2017 John left the commercial finance industry to focus on operating businesses within the building supply chain. June 2017 acquired and operates a luxury ceramic tile, shower enclosure, wood flooring and wall feature supply and install business in operation since 1994.
April 16, 2019, acquired G. Lawrence to form Lawrence Glass & Mirror Ltd.O/A The Glass Place. Company is a specialty glazing, commercial and residential supply and installer of high end glass in operation since 1988.
January 2019 acquired premises of the 25 Sandford Fleming, Collingwood location with future development potential. In 2023 acquired exclusive distribution rights to a European line of a thermally efficient aluminum window and door system.
