CollingwoodToday welcomes letters to the editor at [email protected] or via the website. Please include your full name, daytime phone number and address (for verification of authorship, not publication). The following letter is in response to a letter about a proposed development on the Collingwood Terminals site, published Nov. 29.

I am in full agreement with J. Brian Prendergast with regards to the Terminals building and spit lands.

We have a viable proposal for the property that I only see as a win-win for the town and the developer. How many more years are we going to let the property moulder?

The 24-storey condo portion is not all above the roof line if you look at the proposal. In fact, the silhouette of the new one is very close to what is currently there.

My family have been Collingwood residents since 1878. I love this town and do not always agree with all the changes but would like to see this project completed in my lifetime. I’m looking forward to making a reservation for the rooftop restaurant. Let’s get going. Time’s a-wasting.
