2017 investigation into missing Midland hunter continues

KIRKLAND LAKE - The Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing their investigation related to a missing 66 year-old male from Midland, Ont.

Paul Yelland was last seen on Oct. 23, 2017 at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the area of Beaver Lake near Watabeag Lake, Ont. where he was believed to be hunting. He has not been seen or heard from since and police and family are concerned for his well-being.

 The male is described as:

  • Caucasian male,
  • between 5'11 and 6'0 foot tall,
  • approximately 250 lbs,
  • short grey hair,
  • grey beard,
  • brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing pyjama pants, rubber ankle high boots, a light shirt with a fluorescent orange vest and an orange helmet. He was possibly operating a red 2006 Honda TRX four wheeler with Ontario license plate RT758.

The OPP continues to investigate this incident and any person with information that could assist is urged to contact the local OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
