Blue Mountain Resort is still on track to start up a chairlift this week, with opening day on Dec. 7.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, skiers and snowboarders are invited to kick-off another winter season at Blue with the Silver Bullet chairlift operating service for Tranquility ski run. The Easy Rider beginner carpet will also be running from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
There will be complimentary hot chocolate at the lift plaza.
Lift tickets can be purchased in advance and picked up at the kiosks at Blue. Guest services opens at 9 a.m.
Night skiing is scheduled to start Dec. 14.
