After the success of her first two events, Leanne Morrison is planning to expand again with the third iteration of the Community Clothing Swap.

Taking place Oct. 5, the swap will take up Community Rooms B and C as well as the Free Schools Room on the first floor of the Collingwood Public Library for savvy swappers to update their wardrobes for the low cost of $0.

“We’re going to have men's, baby, and children's clothes in the Free Schools Room. All of the women's clothes will be up on the third floor,” said Morrison. “Everyone is welcome to come to the swap and it is totally optional to leave a small cash donation when you leave.”

At the swap, patrons will be free to take any clothing that catches their eye, and can choose to make a donation to a local charity if they see fit. This time around, all monetary donations will be going toward local youth homelessness.

“We raised almost $900 for Breaking Down Barriers at the last swap in May,” said Morrison. “It was a great success with around 500 people attending.”

Clothing donations will be accepted during opening hours at the Collingwood Public Library and Pita Pit in Wasaga Beach and Collingwood from Oct. 1 to 3.

The Community Clothing Swap takes place at the Collingwood Public Library on Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
