A local COVID vaccine clinic will be accepting some walk-ins today (Jan. 10) between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. as capacity allows.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is running a clinic at New Life Church today and has announced there is some space for walk-ins from the following groups:

  • Those over 11 years old still requiring a first or second dose
  • Those over 40 years old who would like to get a booster dose
  • Education workers and childcare staff
  • People with high-risk conditions
  • Healthcare workers and designated essential caregivers in congregate settings
  • Indigenous people and anyone over 15 years old part of their household
  • Anyone who received two doses of Astra Zeneca or one dose of the Janssen vaccine.

Walk-ins will only be accepted while supplies last. Anyone wishing to attend the clinic should dress warm as there may be some lining up outdoors.
