Those working at the Collingwood COVID-19 vaccine drive-thru clinic today were treated to some ice cream, courtesy of a local business.

RBC Dominion Securities Inc. hired the Collingwood Ice Cream Company truck for the clinic shift change and paid for ice cream for all the workers.

Vice president and branch director, Claudine Finch, said she expected about 40 vaccine clinic staff to enjoy a treat from the truck.

She said the branch took the initiative on its own as a way to say thank you to the people who have been working at the clinic.
