With Collingwood and the rest of Simcoe County and Muskoka District now under red zone restrictions according to the Ontario COVID-19 Response Framework, many of the town's facilities are reopening with limited service in place.
The following is a list of town facilities reopening or remaining open while the town is under red zone restrictions.
Collingwood Public Library
The library is reopening for some in-person browsing of the collection, and with two public computers available for short-duration use. Washrooms and meeting rooms are still closed.
Collingwood Museum
The museum will reopen to patrons by appointment only beginning Feb. 18. Contact museum staff to reserve your spot. The gift shop remains open and offers curbside pickup for purchases.
Eddie Bush Memorial Arena and Central Park Arena
Both arenas opened Wednesday, Feb. 17 for provincially affiliated sports groups such as minor hockey, figure skating and Collingwood Blues. As per the provincial regulations for red zones, only practice is permitted, no contact and no game play.
Central Park outdoor rink
The outdoor rink remains open, and still requires skaters to pre-book a time slot online in advance only. Masks are mandatory.
Centennial Aquatic Centre
The town-operated pool facility is scheduled to re-open March 8 with capacity limits of ten people in place. The reopening is pending approval of the local health unit.
Town Hall
The town hall is open for walk-in counter service from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Customer service representatives are available Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m by phone at 705-445-1030 and by email at [email protected].
Transit
Collingwood public transit continues to operate on a Sunday schedule. Masks are required for anyone riding the bus.
