County and town services affected this long weekend

Ontario Works, children services offices will also be closed Monday

The County of Simcoe reminds residents of the following schedule changes for Thanksgiving Day on Monday, Oct. 14:

Curbside waste collection and waste drop-off facilities

Waste collection is ongoing as there is no change to the county’s waste collection schedule.
All county waste drop-off facilities are closed on Monday, Oct. 14 except for the Matchedash facility, which is open on its regular schedule on Sunday, Oct. 13 and Monday, Oct. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

LINX Transit

LINX Transit services are not in operation on Oct. 14 (with the exception of Route 4).
- Route 4 only will be operating a Sunday schedule on Monday, Oct. 14.
Return to regularly scheduled services for all routes on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

County administration centre (Midhurst) and Service Simcoe Contact Centre

The administration centre, including the Service Simcoe Contact Centre, will be closed to the public on Monday, Oct. 14.

Ontario Works and children services

All Ontario Works and children services offices are closed on Monday, Oct. 14.

Lake Simcoe Regional Airport

The Lake Simcoe Regional Airport will be operating as usual on Monday, Oct. 14.

Simcoe County Museum

The museum will be open for its regularly scheduled hours (10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

Simcoe County Archives

The archives is closed on Monday, Oct. 14.
