The Town of Collingwood will mark Black History Month in February beginning with a flag raising on Feb. 1 in the afternoon.
"Black History Month is a dedicated time to recognize and honour the legacy of Black communities locally and across Canada, celebrating the contributions made in the arts, sciences, business, and across all disciplines," states a news release from the Town of Collingwood.
There will be a flag raising at the Collingwood Public Library at 4 p.m. on Feb. 1.
