Golf enthusiasts and supporters of cancer patients and their families are invited to participate in the inaugural Golf4Good Golf Tournament, set to take place on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024 at the picturesque Duntroon Highlands Golf.

Organized by a dedicated team of individuals who have personally experienced the profound impact of cancer, Golf4Good aims to raise crucial funds for two local beneficiaries: Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre. Unlike most golf tournaments where a portion of the proceeds are donated to charity, Golf4Good is unique in that Duntroon Highlands Golf has generously pledged to donate 100 per cent of the tournament fees directly to these deserving organizations.

“We know first-hand the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis, not just for the patient but for their entire support network,” said Stacie Smith, one of the organizers of Golf4Good and director of operations at Duntroon Highlands Golf. “Our goal is to rally the community together through our shared love of golf to make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing these challenges.”

The tournament will be an 18-hole shotgun, scramble format, offering participants of all skill levels the opportunity to compete and contribute to a meaningful cause. In addition to the golfing experience, the event will feature various hole contests, prizes, and a raffle with all proceeds directly benefiting the chosen charities.

“We are grateful to Duntroon Highlands Golf for their incredible support in making this event possible,” added the organizing team. “Their commitment to donating all tournament fees ensures that every swing and every putt will directly impact the lives of patients and families in our community.”

Participants can register individually or as part of a team, with sponsorship opportunities also available for businesses and organizations looking to show their support. More information about registration, sponsorship, and event details can be found on the Duntroon Highlands Golf website or at golf4good.ca.
