Below are five area events among the many happening this weekend:

Music Hike

As part of Bruce Trail Day, visit the Nottawasaga Bluffs Conservation Area (near Singhampton and Glen Huron) for a music hike featuring live musicians along the Bruce Trail. Events run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with musicians playing from 11 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Collingwood Blues game

The Collingwood Junior A Blues take on the Toronto Patriots in a home game Oct. 4 at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena. The puck drops at 7 p.m.

Trivia Night

Collingwood Climate Action Team is hosting a Trivia Night FUNdraiser at Side Launch Brewing Co. on Oct. 4, doors at 7:30 and event at 8 p.m.

Oktoberfest Beer and Cider Festival

The Collingwood Brewery - Oktoberfest Beer & Cider Festival takes place Oct. 5 from noon to 6 p.m. 

This family-friendly event will feature over 10 breweries and cideries, good friends, lawn games, live music all day, food trucks, Beach Blends Lemonade and more!  Admission gets you two tokens and a reusable glass, with more tokens available for purchase.

Live music from Andrew Dunt (noon) JJ and His Dog (2 p.m.) and Callie McCullough (4 p.m.)

Admission is free for minors and as always, furry friends are welcome.

Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival

The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour returns to Collingwood on Oct. 7-9 at Collingwood Cineplex will screenings at 7 p.m. each evening.
