High school swim team scores personal bests and podium finishes

The Our Lady of the Bay Catholic High School swim team is now training for Georgian Bay championship meet next week

Our Lady of the Bay  (OLB) Catholic High School's swim team attended University of Guelph swim meet on Dec 8. Many members of the team swam their personal bests during the meet.

Riley Wessinger continued to dominate the field in his 50-metre free, 100-metre individual medley, and relays, placing first in his events while sister Reese, placed first in 50-metre free, 100-metre breast and 100-metre individual medley.

Jack Wessinger finished secnd in the 50-metre butterfly and fourth in 100-metre individual meldey and in the top-five in 50-metre free. Amelia Ellis, Andrew Denbok, and Isaac Morris continue to take off time in all of their events. 

Marshall Kerr had top-four finishes in all of his events. Mia Braden was impressive in her inaugural 50-metre butterfly and Ethan Does achieved more best times in his 50-metre backstroke. Sophia Ego and Mia Braden placed fifth and fourth respectively in 100-metre individual medley and Ava Gorman had an impressive top-six finish in 50-metre breast.

The male and female relay teams placed second and third respectively. The next meet for the OLB team is the Georgian Bay championships next Thursday in Barrie.
