The Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Ontario Provincial Police would like to congratulate Auxiliary Sergeant Matt Van Gerven who recently received his 10 Year Medallion as a volunteer with the OPP Auxiliary Program. Also, receiving his 5 Year certificate as a volunteer with the OPP Auxiliary Program is Shane Bond.
Auxiliary Sergeant Van Gerven started with the Auxiliary Program as an Auxiliary Constable in 2007 and was promoted to Auxiliary Sergeant in 2015. Since joining the program he has volunteered over 2,400 hours.
Auxiliary Constable Shane Bond became a member in 2013 and since joining the program he has volunteered over 935 hours.
Both members have been successful at managing full-time careers and family while still maintaining a high level of commitment to the Auxiliary Program.
The OPP would like to thank Auxiliary Sergeant Van Gerven and Auxiliary Shane Bond for their years of dedication and commitment to their community and the OPP!
