NEWS RELEASE
BARRIE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
*************************
The American Radio Relay League/Radio Amateurs of Canada Field Day is held annually during the fourth full weekend in June.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday and running until 2 p.m. Sunday.

This is amateur ham radio’s version of open house. Licensed amateur radio operators from Barrie will be communicating on site with other operators around North America and beyond.

This year, the Barrie Amateur Radio Club will hold a traditional Field Day June 22 and 23 at 617 Penetanguishene Rd., at Crown Hill. We will be using the grassed parking area to the north of the former church.

The Barrie Amateur Radio Club invites you to visit Field Day 2024. We would like you to see how we operate under austere conditions and have a chance to meet you in person. We will have a station set up for those who would like to ‘get on the air’  under the guidance of a licensed amateur radio operator.

Kindly RSVP to Ed Murray, public information officer, at [email protected]. We hope to see you at Field Day 2024.
