COLLINGWOOD GENERAL AND MARINE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

This September, pets and patients in the South Georgian Bay have something to smile about during this year’s Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie campaign.
From Sept. 17 to Sept. 23 all participating Collingwood Tim Horton’s locations will be selling Smile Cookie’s for $1 with 100 per cent of the proceeds being donated to the Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) and the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation (CGMHF).
“Jan Trude and Tim Horton’s really go the extra mile to give back to our community,” says Sonya Reichel, Executive Director with the GTHS. “We are excited to be partnered with the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation and are honoured to be a part of this event again this year.”
“We are so grateful to the entire Trude family for their generous support of their Hospital over the past 20 years,” says CGMHF Executive Director, Jory Pritchard-Kerr. “What started with sales of the original King Kookie during the Elvis Festival has raised almost $100,000 for medical equipment and community education programs on health and wellness. We are most appreciative of their continued support.”
There’s no better reason to buy a delicious Smile Cookie during this campaign than to make Pets and Patients Smile! The two local charities hope to raise $10,000 to support their respective causes.
Supporters are encouraged to join the fun by taking a selfie with their purchased Smile Cookie and use the hashtag #Smile4PetsandPatients. All participants will be entered into a contest to win a $100 gift certificate to Tim Horton’s restaurant.
