The Rotary Club of Collingwood – South Georgian Bay is getting ready to launch their annual Rotary4Kids online auction to support youth initiatives in the area and internationally.

The auction opens Oct. 28 at 8 a.m. and includes items such as a full membership to the Duntroon Golf and Country Club, Toronto Maple Leafs tickets and gift cards for local businesses.

“It’s very important to help youth in our community and internationally," said Barbara Edgell, Chair of Rotary4Kids. “We have to support youth. They’re the adults of tomorrow.”

Last year the auction brought in $17,000 and Edgell is hoping to make $20,000 this time around. All of the items in the auction have been donated by local businesses.

In past years, the auction has supported youth initiatives such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, the South Georgian Bay Music Foundation, El Salvador Backpacks, Home Horizon and school scholarship programs.
