The recently formed Simcoe County Black Coalition is inviting local leaders, decision makers, constituents, and community members into space to participate in a town hall discussion facilitated by leaders of local Black-led organizations on performative versus meaningful action and engaging with this work beyond Black History Month.

When: Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025
Time: 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: UPlift Black Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion located at 12 Dunlop St. E., Barrie
Topic: performative versus meaningful action: supporting Black communities and engaging with this work beyond Black History Month

The Simcoe County Black Coalition was formed by local leaders from the following organizations: UPlift Black, Making Change, Parents Against Racism Simcoe County, Orillia Black Community, Faith Developmental Centre, Simcoe African Association, Adinkra Farm, Blacks for All Races, the Black Fathers Alliance, Be the Change.
