ENVIRONMENT CANADA
*************************
Snow squall warning continued for:

  •    Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  •    Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County

Current details:

Lake effect snow tapering to flurries this morning.

Hazards:
Poor visibility in areas of blowing snow.
Icy and slippery road conditions.
Additional snowfall amounts of 2 to 5 cm.

Timing:
This morning.

Discussion:
Lake effect snow will taper to flurries this morning. Northwest winds gusting up to 60 km/h will result in areas of blowing snow, reducing visibility.

The main concern will be hazardous travel conditions due to low visibility in blowing snow along with icy and slippery road conditions, rather than large snowfall accumulations.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
