Snow Squall Warning in effect for:

  • Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  • Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
  • Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago

Snow squalls continue this morning.

What: Additional local snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm. Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour. Poor visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.

When: Continuing this morning, easing early this afternoon.

Additional information: Snow squalls off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay continue this morning. These snow squalls are expected to ease late this morning or early this afternoon.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
