Snow squalls developing late this afternoon or early this evening.

What: Local snowfall accumulations of 20 to 40 cm. Peak snowfall rates up to 5 cm per hour. Poor to near zero visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.

When: Late this afternoon or early this evening through Friday afternoon.

Additional information: Snow squalls off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay are expected to develop late this afternoon or early this evening. Snow squalls are expected to weaken Friday afternoon. Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
