The Town of Collingwood department of Parks, Recreation, & Culture wishes to thank our patrons for their patience and understanding as we work through the 2019 Spring Swim Registration and manage the issues caused by the failure of our registration software.
A new vendor to provide a proven, effective, and well-supported solution has been selected and implementation of the new software program will begin shortly. Our goal is to have the system completely established by the Fall Swim Registration intake.
In the meantime, registration for Spring 2019 Swim Lessons is being taken offline and will be handled directly and entirely by Town staff. For the sake of fairness, the Swim Registration process is beginning from scratch. While some people were waiting in line, many others were attempting to register online, and the failure of the software system affected everyone equally.
The re-launch of the Spring Swim Registration will take place on Tuesday, March 26, beginning at 5 p.m.
The following is the procedure that has been established to provide as much fairness as possible for those wishing to access programs:

The following is the procedure that has been established to provide as much fairness as possible for those wishing to access programs:
- Tuesday, March 26 – 5 p.m. – In-person registration opens at the Centennial Aquatic Centre.
- Four intake stations will be set up to accommodate IN-PERSON registration of participants. During this time NO phone or email registration will be accepted.
- Tuesday, March 26 – 7 p.m. – Email registration opens
- This will entail opening a fillable PDF form located at www.collingwood.ca/rec-programming, completing the form, and sending it to [email protected].)
- Please note that it is the responsibility of the person submitting to ensure that the form is completed in full and that the completed form is sent with all information included – some cell phones are not capable of supporting fillable PDF forms.
- Once submitted, you will receive an automatic response indicating your email has been received. This will not be confirmation that you are registered, only confirmation that your request has been received. A staff member will respond at a later time confirming what class you have been registered for and how you can make payment.
- Wednesday, March 27 – 1:30 p.m. – Phone registration opens

Please note that private lessons registration and Parent & Tot registration that took place on Tuesday, March 19 were successful in registration. Private lessons are now full, and there are still Parent & Tot spots available.
