Thornbury artist wins accolade from Federation of Canadian Artists

Harvey Bodach's painting of a lynx won first prize in the Animalis exhibit this year

A Thornbury artist has been feted by his peers with a first-place finish in a Federation of Canadian Artists exhibit. 

Harvey Bodach, local landscape and wildlife artist, was awarded first place in the federation's Animalis exhibit for 2022. 

Bodach's painting is entitled Canada Lynx in Repose on a Moonlit Winter Night. 

The exhibition took place in Granville Island, Vancouver from March 8-20. Bodach's took first place among 77 artists accepted for the exhibition. 

In 2021, Bodach's painting of a barn owl took second place in the same exhibition.
