Work to resurface the Thornbury Pier is on hold after the crew working on site found out they were exposed to someone with COVID-19.

The Town of The Blue Mountains announced today in a news release that the company, Brook Restoration Ltd. informed the town of their crew members’ exposure on April 20.

The construction site has been shut down temporarily.

According to the news release, the people working at the pier stayed within the fenced-in construction site.

The town indicated the project may be delayed past the estimated May 31 completion date.
