Winter weather travel advisory in effect.
Hazards:
Lake effect snow, with additional local snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm.
Reduced visibility due to heavy falling snow.
Snow-covered and icy roads.
When:
Until late this evening.
Discussion:
Lake effect snow off of Georgian Bay is expected to weaken late this evening.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
