Suzanne, 73 of New Lowell, passed away on Tuesday July 2, 2024 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.

Wife of the late Steve Bain (2022).  Predeceased by her parents Richard and Brenda Hall.  Survived by siblings Katherine (Scott Buchanan), Charles (Lynn Riley), Doug (Sue), Mary Lynn, and Virginia (Mike Rich), numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.

Sue was an award-winning dog breeder and was a preservation breeder of Siberian Huskies for over 50 years.  She produced many top conformation and sled dogs.  She made a lifelong commitment to breeding, showing and racing her beloved Siberians, as well as other breeds.  She was a force of nature and fiercely independent – determined to achieve her goals and willing to put in the hard work to make them happen, despite the many challenges life had for her.  She loved dogs and they loved her.  She also loved being in the show ring and winning of course.  In her pursuit of show excellence she travelled extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, even making it to Whitehorse, Yukon, one year.

In Sue’s memory, donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated by the family.  Private family arrangement only.
