March 27, 1941 – February 27, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kerry Baskey at the age of 83 on February 27, 2025. Kerry was a loving husband to Susan Barbour, a devoted father to Keely and Cameron, and a proud grandfather to Ashley and Jack. He is survived by his sister, Wendy (Michael) Willoughby, and will be missed by his extended family and many friends.

Born and raised in Port Hope, Ontario, Kerry's fond memories of his childhood included summers spent at Camp Hurontario, where he formed lifelong friendships and discovered a love for the outdoors. His passion for learning led him to Ryerson University, where he studied architecture, and soon after, he embarked on a successful career in business. Kerry started a business partnership with Billy Carpenter and Rob Hanson, developing and operating hotels and restaurants, including the well-known Telfer's Towers Club and Telfer’s Restaurant.

Kerry was not only a successful businessman but also a genuinely kind and engaging person. His intelligence and curiosity were matched only by his warmth and love for people. He and Susan shared a love for hospitality, and together, they operated a bed and breakfast in Kimberley, Ontario, before settling into retirement in Collingwood.

As per his wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation in Kerry’s memory. Friends may visit Kerry's online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
