After courageously facing lengthy health hurdles, Mary died peacefully on June 23 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Much loved mother of Paul Brown (wife Carol) and Marsha Brown. She will be deeply missed by her only grandchild, Kelton Brown and her sister, Margaret Baird. Predeceased by her loving husband Norman “Tex” Brown, her brother Michael Baird, and her parents John “Benny” and Helen Baird. Mary will also be dearly missed by her many friends.

She was a kind woman who enjoyed the simple things in life. She was never materialistic or showy and would give anyone the shirt off her back. She loved to sew, cook and her baked goods were out of this world. She enjoyed animated chats about politics and although she wasn’t one to gossip, she always knew what was going on in Collingwood, a town she loved and called home all her life. Mary’s wit and humour will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood. To sign Mary’s Book of Memories, please visit www.chattersonfuneralhome.com
