Eileen Mae Carrington was reunited with Bill, her loving husband of 70 years, on February 25, 2025. Eileen fought a brave fight against cancer, never complaining and always positive. She passed away at Campbell Home Hospice.

Eileen was a devoted mother to four daughters, Cathy Boxall (Dave}, Christine Smith (Ed deceased), Wendy Todesco (Charlie), and Susan Kalman.  Eileen doted on her 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.  Eileen also had a very special relationship with her niece Michelle Forbes (Glenn).

Eileen worked outside the home in a variety of careers, including as a long-distance switchboard operator, in Bill’s family’s bait shop and grill (keep your end of the seine net up Eileen!!), and for over 25 years as a lab technician at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.

Eileen loved to garden, play golf and played bridge for over 60 years with a wonderful group of friends (and surrendering her winnings to Bill when she got home!).  Eileen lived at Raglan Village for her last 3 years, making new friends and participating in exercise classes, enjoying a glass (or 2) of wine at the bistro and of course playing bridge.  Eileen loved to travel and went on 3 European cruises, visited Paris, and spent hours walking on the beach in Florida.

A special thanks to her loving friends Louise, Eileen (#2) and Jeannie for the many laughs and support.  Janice and all the staff at Raglan Village brightened every day and she loved living here.  A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Carla Murphy, Bayshore Homecare Solutions, St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Campbell Home Hospice staff for their devoted care and keeping her comfortable in her final months.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Campbell House Hospice in memory of Eileen would be appreciated by the family.

Interment will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation. Friends may visit Eileen’s Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
