It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bill Clark, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the age of 77, while enjoying a well-deserved vacation in Cayo Coco, Cuba. A proud resident of Wasaga Beach for the past nine and a half years and a longtime resident of Whitby for 34 years prior, Bill lived life to the fullest, always embracing new experiences and cherishing time spent with loved ones.
He was the beloved husband of Diane Clark (nee Pacey) for over 50 years, a devoted father to Jennifer Clark, Jessica (Dave) Primmer, and Trevor (Tiffany) Clark, and a cherished grandfather to Justin Clark, Angelica Clark, Eileen Primmer, Charles Primmer, Joshua Primmer, Mariah Clark Smith, Evelyn Clark, and the soon-to-arrive grandson of Trevor (Tiffany) Clark. Bill was also a proud great-grandfather to Adalynn Clark.
A loving brother to Dane Clark (Traudi McDonald) and Hugh Clark (Lucy Hodge-Corrigan). Bill will be deeply missed by his sisters-in-law Marion Tschirhart and Joan (Norman) Schwegel, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Bill was predeceased by his loving parents, William and Audrey Clark; his parents-in-law, Thomas and Eileen Pacey; and his dear brothers-in-law, Allen Pacey and Guy Tschirhart.
Bill was a kind-hearted and fun-loving man whose warmth and humour left a lasting impression on all who knew him. With his quick wit, classic movie quotes, and infectious laughter, he had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and at ease. Bill spent 33 years working at General Motors, beginning his career at the Scarborough plant before continuing in Oshawa. His greatest passions were his family and the outdoors. Above all, he treasured the moments spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will live on in their hearts forever.
Bill was passionate about staying active, whether hitting the golf course, playing pickleball or road biking – especially along scenic routes by the water. He had a special love for the beach and the water, spending countless hours enjoying the serenity of the shore and cruising on his pontoon boat.
A lifelong and devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Bill never lost faith in his team, no matter how many times they fell short. Whether sharing moments with family and friends or spreading his positive energy, Bill’s good-natured spirit made him a joy to be around. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering support will be remembered with fondness by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be deeply missed. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home - Wasaga Beach Chapel on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A time for words of remembrance will begin at 3:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be available.
