Vittorio (Victor) De Amicis
April 30, 1950 – January 13, 2025
We sadly announce the passing of a beloved husband and father, Vittorio(Victor) De Amicis. He passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025.
He was originally from Raiano, Italy. Born to parents Evelina and Rodolfo on April 30th, 1950. His family immigrated to Canada in 1960 absent of his father who sadly passed on February 6th, 1956.
He travelled here with his mother, Evelina De Amicis and his brothers, Francesco(Frank), Giuseppe(Joe) and Daniele(Dan) on a passenger ship named “Irpinia”. Once they arrived in Canada, they were united with their sister, Delia. His brothers went on to marry: Frank to Nadia, Joe to Jennifer, and Dan to Dee. The family found great success and created many memories adapting to a new country and life but never for a moment forgetting where they came from and holding dear values and heritage that would always keep them proud and humble.
Victor married Loreta-Anna in 1979 and began a family of his own in the year 1981 when his first son, Orlando was born. Five short years later, his second son, Adriano was born.
Vittorio was a hard-working man, and his work exists in many homes to this day. When you needed him, he was there.
Through the years he remained a hard-working man determined to provide his family a life free of worries and fears. He will be at peace and unite with his family waiting with open arms. We love him and we will miss him.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Parish (65 Amelia Street, Barrie) on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10am followed by the Celebration of Life in the parish hall.
