Gloria Jean Demers (Brander)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Jean Demers (née Brander) on November 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Gloria, born on June 1, 1951, in Oakville, Ontario, was the devoted wife of Darol Demers, with whom she shared a bond of unwavering love. She was a cherished mother to Jamie (Kathleen), Laura (Troy), and Daryl (Eric), she loved her children and their partners fiercely.
A proud and adoring "Meme", Gloria's heart was full of joy with her grandchildren, Dylan, Kade, Quinn, and Kieran, and her love extended warmly to family and friends on both sides. Her kindness and devotion will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Gloria was a dedicated hairstylist, serving her community both through her own shop and in local nursing homes, where she brought comfort, friendship, and joy to her clients. She was known for her fierce love and loyalty, treating her clients and friends like family.
True to her spirit, Gloria made the courageous decision to face her journey with cancer on her own terms, surrounded by the family she adored. In accordance with her wishes, Gloria was cremated, and her family has celebrated her life as she lived it—filled with love and laughter, with a beer or two raised in her honor.
