From a very young age, Shelby was a devoted cross country skier. Throughout her entire life, she spent countless hours in all seasons on Highlands Nordic’s trails. The time spent here helped whet her competitive appetite and she began racing on Highlands Trailblazer’s team at a young age. In high school, she competed as a strong member of the C.C.I. Nordic Ski team and had great success at the OFSAA championships she attended. Shelby was a varsity athlete on the Lakers Nordic Ski Team at Nipissing University where she had many accomplishments at the provincial, national and international levels.
