Passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 6, 2024, at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital in his 89th year.

Ted was the beloved husband of Suzanne (nee Cousineau) for 56 years.

Born in Montreal, QC February 24, 1936, to parents Thomas Ashcroft Donohoe and Victoria Maude Leach.  Ted is survived by his dear sister Barbara (the late Ian) Colquhoun, predeceased by sister Marilyn (the late Bobby) Gibson.  Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Ted will also be missed by his sister-in-law Muriel (Michael) Green, brother-in-law Yves (Lorraine) and Jacques (Manon) Cousineau and their families.  Predeceased by his brother-in-law Andre Cousineau.

Ted was a partner in a successful business, Brock Electronics, for many years. Retirement in your 50’s is a dream of many, so in 1994, the company was sold to their employees allowing Ted, Jim and Bill to walk into retirement fulfilling that dream.

In his retirement, Ted spent many months building a cedar strip canoe, travelled the world and enjoyed all the outdoor activities his beloved Collingwood offered. He was a founding member of Georgian Bay Club and later enjoyed the camaraderie of the OFL at Cranberry. Cars were very important to Ted, but convertible sports cars were his passion.

He was a loyal friend to many, and he will be missed.

A private celebration of Ted’s life will be held.  As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, The Alzheimer’s Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation in his name. Friends may visit Ted’s online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
