Died peacefully at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in his 81st year.
Bob, of Collingwood, was the loving father of Jason, John and Tracy. Cherished grandpa of Dermott, Darby, Bronwyn, Jacob, Benjamin, Addyson, Lucas, Nate, Gavin, Cora, Maeve and Leona. Sadly missed by his sisters Elinore, Shirley, Donna and Doris. Predeceased by his brother Fred. Dear friend and companion of Carol Hodgson. Bob will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
Bob led by example, constantly lifting those around him with his big smile and endless encouragement. He was an eternal optimist, the biggest cheerleader and supporter of his grand kids, and an adventure seeker at heart.
At Bob’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner for visitation on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 6-8pm. A private service will be held with interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Stayner. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob to the RVH Cancer Centre or the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House would be appreciated by the family.
