It is with great sadness that we announce our dear April – daughter, niece, cousin and friend, passed away suddenly on Saturday September 14, 2024, at the age of 53.
Born in Brampton, Ontario on October 29, 1970, the only daughter of William “Bill” and Joy (nee Brooks) Edwards. April spent her formative years growing up in the Feversham area and went to school at Osprey and Grey Highlands. She made friends easily and excelled academically. April was fun, outgoing, vivacious and had a generous spirit.
April studied and became a Goldsmith by trade. She had a great ability to create, decorate and shop! Together with her mom she owned and operated Grapevine Cottage in Collingwood. She loved helping people find hidden treasures in their store.
April was a woman guided by faith. She believed and trusted in God. She lived her life each day to the fullest. As we mourn her loss, let us celebrate her life. April’s light will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Funeral service will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel at 2 p.m. on Thursday September 19, 2024, with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Thornbury Clarksburg Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in April’s memory.
