March 3, 1945 – September 24, 2024

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ted. He will be missed by his wife Patricia, children Jennifer Redman (Jason), Ryan Egan (Katie), Tamara Egan (Gerard), grandchildren Isaak, Emilia, Felix, Viola, Frank, and Jack, and faithful dogs Buster and Forbes. He will be remembered fondly by extended family, and dear friends.

Ted was an industrial electrician by trade. He worked in Toronto, and occasionally in the United States. He was a city boy, who moved to a farm in the country with his family. Though he had a long commute, he still did his part caring for horses, chickens, geese, bunnies, cats, dogs, and various rodents. He also built enclosures for the baby wild animals that were found and cared for on the farm. Ted was handy and could fix anything.

In his retirement, Ted finally purchased a motorcycle. He had wanted to ride the roads with his friend Gary, for many years. He finally had that opportunity. Ted also had a great love of music. There was always music playing in the background and he fully enjoyed any chance to dance to his favourite songs. All his loved ones will surely connect his memory to melodies. The life lesson from Ted is to enjoy the simple pleasures.

Many thanks to the medical teams at Sunset Manor and CGMH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. https://cgmhf.com/donate/ To sign Ted’s Book of Memories, please visit www.carruthersdavidson.com
