Patricia Ellinger – Died peacefully October 20th, 2024, in Thornbury, Ontario.

Born December 6th, 1936, to Evelyn and Murray Anger in Woodstock Ontario, Pat is predeceased by her parents and siblings, Elgin and Francis. She is survived by her sons, Michael and Mark Ellinger (Nancy Long) and her grandchildren Travis and Marlena.

She taught kindergarten and grade one in Preston, Don Mills and finally Collingwood Ontario at Cameron St. Elementary School before helping to open The Shoppe Antiques and Things in Craiglieth. A long-time skier, member and resident at Alpine Ski Club, she then lived and raised her family in Clarksburg, before moving to Thornbury and then Collingwood. Pat was passionate about tennis for much of her adult life, and an avid gardener with people often driving by her house to see what else she had planted and designed. She enjoyed music and dancing, often attending concerts at Bayview Park in Thornbury, and it always brought a smile to her face, even late in life. She enjoyed trips to the library and was a member of the library board in Clarksburg, always having multiple books on the go. She took great pride in her home, with attention to detail, both inside and out, with extra effort going into preparing for the holidays.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Errinrung Long Term Care in Thornbury. The family will gather in the Spring for interment at Putnam United Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Pat’s online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
