Died peacefully with her family by her side on Friday Aug. 30 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 64.
Anita, loving mother of Natasha McEachern, Amanda Garbutt (Kris Wilson), Cassandra Gascho (Michael Katzikowski) and Cody Gascho, predeceased by son-in-law Scott Garbutt. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Ben, Luke, Kelly, Lane, Liam and Austin. Dear sister of Rosanne Weir (Mike), Colleen Raes (Morrie) and Geoffrey Faber (Angela). She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, neighbours, and friends.
Anita was a trailblazer in the trucking and heavy construction industries. She devoted much of her life behind the wheel, double-clutching, and most recently operating heavy equipment in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Her exemplary work ethic and vibrant personality enabled her to achieve whatever she set her mind to.
Above all, she cherished her children and grandchildren and was so proud of their successes.
